Recently, Graham County Hospital purchased four new hospital beds.  The purchase of the new beds was made possible by a grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and donations from Mike and Kay Money and Money Chevrolet, Inc. The goal of this purchase is to reduce the overall risks to caregivers and patient injuries, to improve patient satisfaction in their comfort level during their stay, and to provide better bedside data to help prevent adverse events.

The Graham County Community Foundation awarded Graham County Hospital Clinic $10,000 to

start the purchase of six new exam tables. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation later awarded the clinic

the remaining $20,000 to finish funding the project. These generous grants enable Graham County

Hospital Clinic to upgrade its equipment and improve the quality of health care services to the

patients of Graham County. “We are very thankful for the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and the

Graham County Community Foundation”, says Melissa Atkins, Graham County Hospital CEO.  “The

update will ensure more efficient and quality clinical examinations, while maintaining the security and

comfort levels of all our patients.” The exam tables are designed to be more ergonomically correct

for the providers and will more safely accommodate all patients including, the geriatric, expectant

mothers, and patients with disabilities
