Job Title: Nurse Aide (NA) / Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts a week

Job Description:

Graham County Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated Nurse Aides (NA) / Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist with daily living activities, and work collaboratively with the nursing staff to ensure the comfort and safety of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and repositioning patients as needed
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate
  • Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and patient care tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
  • Report any changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
  • Follow infection control protocols and facility safety procedures
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with documentation and record-keeping as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred but can be taught
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and/or support up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and occasionally 51-100 lbs Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented
