The Graham County Hospital (GCH) Board of Trustees is happy to announce that Jonathan Gleason has been selected as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the retirement of Melissa Atkins. Jonathan will work with Melissa over the month of February, ensuring a smooth transition of duties before Melissa’s retirement date of February 28th.
Melissa started with Graham County Hospital as CFO in 2008 before she transitioned into the CEO/CFO roles in 2012. She has been an integral part of the hospital’s success over the last 13 years while also holding board level positions with organizations such as Kansas Hospital Association, Sunflower Health Network, American Hospital Association, and KAMMCO. The Board of Trustees and hospital staff want to thank Melissa for all her time and dedication to GCH and wish her all the best in her retirement!
Jonathan Gleason grew up in Preston, Idaho, where he graduated high school and then went on to receive his Associate in Surgical Technology, his Bachelor of Healthcare Administration, and his Master of Business Administration in healthcare management. He comes with previous clinical and healthcare leadership experience, beginning as a Surgical Technologist and then quickly advancing to the Director of Surgery and Specialty Clinic Manager for the Critical Access Hospital in Preston, Idaho. Later, Jonathan would hold positions as Chief Executive Officer at a PPS hospital in Kentucky and at a Critical Access Hospital in Oklahoma.
Jonathan and his wife Tiffany will be relocating with their children to join the Graham County community. He enjoys spending time with his family, tinkering in his garage, camping, and being outside every chance he gets. He is thrilled to join the exceptional team at Graham County Hospital and eagerly anticipates collaborating with the remarkable individuals who make this organization so special.”
