Epidurals

Relief You Can Trust, When You Need It Most.

At Graham County Hospital, we offer epidural steroid injections as part of our comprehensive pain management program. These minimally invasive procedures deliver anti-inflammatory medication directly into the epidural space of the spine to relieve pain caused by inflamed nerves.

Whether you’re experiencing back pain, leg pain (sciatica), or neck and arm discomfort, our goal is to reduce pain, improve function, and help you return to daily activities with greater ease.

What is an Epidural Injection?

An epidural injection delivers a combination of corticosteroids and anesthetic into the space around your spinal nerves. This reduces inflammation and swelling, easing pain caused by:

  • Herniated or bulging discs
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Sciatica
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Arthritis of the spine
  • Pinched nerves

What to Expect

Epidural procedures are typically performed by Dr. Greg Seiler or another trained provider. The process includes:

  • A local anesthetic to numb the area
  • Real-time imaging (fluoroscopy) to guide the needle
  • Delivery of medication into the epidural space
  • Monitoring for a short period before discharge

Most procedures take less than 30 minutes and are done on an outpatient basis.
